Who you'd be working with

We're a growing team, based in Auckland, New Zealand, and Sydney, Australia.

We're close knit. We love working together and collaborating to unpick thorny client challenges.

We're a team of curious, thoughtful and sociable people.
If you want to find out more about our work or capabilities, give us a call or an email and let's chat. If you're in town, let us buy you a drink.

25 years in the industry between London and Auckland.

Rich is one half of the founding team and the mind behind much of how Palladium thinks: forensic in debate, with a rare ability to distil complexity into something that suddenly seems obvious.

He can't help asking what if: about a brief, a society or where the world is heading; which probably explains the speculative fiction he reads and walls covered in maps.

Away from ideas, he tends to end up knee-deep in a renovation that's quietly become an interior design project.

Steph is one half of the founding team: the operational and quantitative engine who keeps Palladium running and its thinking sharp.

She trained as a criminologist, which tells you something: this is someone who needs to get to the bottom of things, whether that's a dataset, a medical condition, or a film plot she's already decoded at the halfway mark.

A born entertainer who decided the logical next step was to own a bar.

Helena arrived in research with a master's degree, a stint in AI consulting and a fascination with whatever she's working on that doesn't seem to have an off switch.

Curious about most things and able to find the light side of most of them too, she has a way of turning any subject into something worth getting excited about.

Hasn't had a shallow conversation in years, possibly ever.

Josh has made his name by going deeper than most: in qualitative research, in government briefs, in any problem worth solving, and consistently finding what others miss.
Josh isn't interested in surface answers. His science background drives a need to forensically understand whatever topic is in front of him, whether it's client challenge, cultural movement, or one of myriad creative endeavours.

He's also the first person anyone asks for a music or restaurant recommendation.

Ian is the kind of guy who reads a brief, a room, and a client relationship with equal clarity, which has made him one of the most trusted voices in brand and comms tracking.

There's a reason people do their best work around him; he has an instinct for what a room needs, whether that's a fresh idea, a reality check, or someone to hold the whole thing together.

Somehow always the last one standing, and usually the reason there was a party in the first place.

So why the name Palladium?
Palladium is a rare metal in the Platinum family. One of its most significant uses is as a catalyst.

We like to think we're catalysts for thinking differently, change, and decision making.
